Sunset Bay penthouse apartment Trogir

This splendid luxury penthouse apartment is located in the centre of the most beautiful bay on the Ciovo peninsula. It is just a 5-minute walk to the sea; bars and restaurants. Since we are very close to the sea, there is no swimming pool at the apartment, but you won't need one. The sea has little or no waves, and it is ideal for swimming. Other apartments that do offer a swimming pool have the disadvantage that they usually have no view of the surroundings and the sea. This is more used as propaganda. In the evening it is a joy to spend time on the terrace. You won't be bothered by noise, and you can see everything. You are also completely protected from the wind. The apartment is southwest facing, so you can enjoy the stunning panorama and the 270° unobstructed sea view all day long. The apartment also offers the advantage that there is no overlooking of the terrace and living spaces from others. Trogir is a charming medieval town that is part of the Unesco world heritage, and is easily accessible on foot. Count on a good half hour walk. If you don't want to walk to Trogir, you can also take a shuttle boat. This runs back and forth every half hour. The old centre of Split is 24km from the apartment. Split airport is 6km from the apartment. From Trogir you can easily sail to Split by shuttle boat with Buraline. It's not expensive, and you arrive at the Riva in Split. You're on the boat for about 1 hour, you can sit on deck if you like, and if there's space. Here is some information about what you can do and visit in the area: 1) Relax and swim in the crystal-clear water at the beach near us, or perhaps walk or drive to the south side. 2) Eat or drink in the evening or during the day at the bars and restaurants by the sea, and enjoy the sunset. 3) Visit the island of Solta and the blue lagoon. The picturesque little harbour of Solta island and the blue lagoon are nearby (allow a good half day for this excursion). If you're interested, you can rent a boat yourself (but you will need a valid boat licence). If you want to do this and don't have a boat licence, you can hire a boat with skipper at our beach, or join a larger boat (you can book this with us, or at the quay in Trogir). Eating and drinking where we are is quite reasonable, in Trogir itself it is more expensive because it is a Unesco town and there are many tourists who only visit Trogir. 4) Walk to Trogir on foot, and sail from Trogir by shuttle boat to the beach near us (it's not expensive and the boat runs every half hour). The old town is not large, but lively and very pleasant, there is a large vegetable, fish and clothing market every day. It is also the departure point for smaller cruise boats. There is also a beautiful marina. No shortage of boats. In the evening you can still peacefully enjoy the apartment where you have an open view of the beautiful sea. Every evening depends on a beautiful sunset. 5) Visit Split. You can do this by car (I can tell you where you can park for free on weekends close to the marina). In Split you can visit the old town, or enjoy the view of the beautiful boulevard (eating and drinking is still quite reasonable) with a view of the marina. If you want to dine out, you should definitely go to the Bocheria (top restaurant in bistro style, but expect prices of a normal restaurant in Belgium) you should definitely reserve in advance otherwise there is no space. 6) Drive along the coast to Makarska by car (a full day). Stop in Omis and Baskabova. You can easily do this in a day (there and back). In Omis you can also go rafting or mountain climbing. Baskavoda has a beautiful promenade along the sea, you can walk for hours. 7) Drive by car to Sibenik and stop in Primosten. The baptismal font in the church of Sibenik is certainly worth a visit as well as the monastery where you can rest and have a drink. You should definitely stop in Primosten, there is a very nice beach there. It is also good and reasonably priced to eat something there. I can also tell you where you can park for free. 8) It is a must to visit the waterfalls in KRK. This is close to Sibenik, and Sibenik is not far from us. You should set aside a full day for this. I think you could also swim there if you wanted to, but this may have changed. 9) Zadar Zadar is 1h15 drive from us, worth a visit. 10) From Split you can take the Ferry to different islands (HVAR, BOL, VIS etc). You can also put your car on the Ferry, but you must mention this when you rent a car. They will also ask you about it. Of course you can also just travel without a car if you want to. From our beach you can also do these excursions with a catamaran. This is faster, but it will be more expensive. 11) Visit Plitvice national park (day excursion). This is quite far, and is a larger version of the KRK waterfalls. 12) Visit Dubrovnik (day excursion). 13) Snorkelling and diving (on our island). 14) Jet ski (at our beach). 15) Do nothing and enjoy the peace and the view.
