We warmly welcome you to the GENIEThuisje, a cozy holiday home in the picturesque town of Heimbach.
Heimbach is located just across the German-Belgian border, in the Eifel, just a few hundred meters from the beautiful Rursee!
We offer you two holiday accommodations, namely
'Het Kleine Genot', a holiday home for 4 people
'Het Grote Genot', a holiday home for 7 people
Het Kleine Genot can be perfectly connected to Het Grote Genot, allowing you to create a holiday home for 11 people!
Each holiday home features a living-dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, one to two bedrooms, and a terrace with beautiful views of the wooded surroundings. You can enjoy FREE WIFI. (If you stay for longer than a week, we offer you the possibility to use the washing machine free of charge)
We also offer you FREE use of our infrared sauna. A sauna that is not only very relaxing and soothing, but also has a beneficial effect on your health!
If you wish, we would be delighted to pamper you with a delicious breakfast (with or without bubbles).
Would you like to bring your dog on holiday? Your four-legged friend is welcome here!
And the final cleaning is simply included in the price!
Upon arrival, we will be happy to familiarize you with our region with some beautiful spots, such as Nationalpark Eifel, the Rursee where you can take a lovely boat trip, Mariawald Abbey, the Art Nouveau Power Plant Centre, ...
Are you a hiker and nature lover? Then you are staying in paradise and will find plenty to satisfy your interests on the 240 km long signposted hiking trail network of Nationalpark Eifel.
Prefer cycling? Of the 240 kilometers of hiking trails in Nationalpark Eifel, 104 kilometers are also cycling routes. Would you like to bring your own bike? Then you can safely store it in our garage.
In addition to regular bike rentals (even children's bikes!), you can also rent electric bikes just near the GENIEThuisje (1km away).
And we have also taken care of plenty of play fun for the little ones. They can play and romp around in the large garden.
The large play equipment with two swings, a slide, a rope bridge and a climbing frame, the pétanque court, the table tennis table... can provide many hours of playtime.
Moreover, we have various outdoor games available, such as a cricket set, badminton rackets, ... And if you still think that elves don't exist? Then be sure to take a look at the Elves' Woods of the GENIEThuisje!
Bad weather? No problem: two large cupboards full of board games, books, magazines, DVDs... provide hours of fun for young and old alike.
In addition to various smaller playgrounds, Heimbach also offers you a mini-golf course. Playing a round here will give you plenty of fun.
The real daredevils will find their match in the high rope course, in the midst of the beautiful forests. You can find both a challenging course for adults and an adapted children's course. Furthermore, in the nearby villages you can also find an indoor play park, summer toboggan run, ...
The greatest asset of Heimbach is of course the Rursee, Germany's largest reservoir, situated very idyllically and only a few minutes' walk from the holiday home. It not only offers you a beautiful view, but also plenty of water fun.
You can take a lovely boat trip on a pleasure boat. Surrounded by the green forests of the Eifel, the Rursee and the Rur also form a top location for a kayaking trip, or to try out a water bike for once.
But not only the Rursee and the Rur offer you water fun! Water lovers can also enjoy the well-maintained open-air swimming pool in Heimbach during the summer months, just 1.5 km from the holiday home.
Bad weather? Then the indoor leisure pool Monte Mare in Kreuzau (20 km) can come to the rescue. Beneath the impressive glass dome you can splash in the wave pool, do some laps in the sports pool or slide down the giant slide.
