Festina Lente is located in the countryside between the vineyards and far away from the hustle and bustle. Yet close enough to a number of smaller towns that can offer plenty of variety in restaurants, bars and local shops. The nearest town, Nizza Monferrato, the heart of the Barbera wine region, is only 15 minutes away. The 'larger' cities Asti and Alessandria are both 20 km away. Festina Lente is the ideal starting point to explore the hills of the Monferrato region, located in the Unesco Heritage area, by bike or motorbike. Riding between the hills covered with vineyards and hazelnuts, you travel from village to village, where there's always a chance to stop for a bite and a drink in the sunshine or on a shaded terrace. Festina Lente offers two cycling packages that can be booked as a 5-day or 8-day stay. Of course, it's also possible to plan your own routes on the many gravel and asphalt roads, or take a lovely walk between the vineyards. And when you say Piedmont, you say wine. Whether you prefer sparkling Asti wine or prefer a good glass of red or white wine, the region has a delicious alternative for everyone. Festina Lente is an old wine farm that was converted into a bed and breakfast with 4 luxury rooms. All rooms have been refurbished and adapted to modern standards and each has its own bathroom. There is a shared relaxation area and a swimming pool with outdoor kitchen. The old charm of the wine farm is reflected in the small details that were carefully restored during the renovation work. Every morning we serve an extensive three-course breakfast prepared with freshly baked homemade bread and local products. We start with an appetizer and finish after the main course with a sweet dessert. A breakfast formula that all our guests really enjoy!

Ontvangst: Super ontvangst door Robby & Veerle, uitgebreide uitleg hoe zij te werk gaan en wat de mogelijkheden zijn in de buurt. Kamers: Volledig vernieuwde kamer waar alles aanwezig was. Wij hadden de familiekamer. Ligging: op de top van een heuvel waar je op een deel bomen kijkt en een deel wijngaard van de eigenaars. Nu en dan kon je herten of everzwijnen spotten. Ontbijt: is een 3 gangen ontbijt onder de vorm van voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en dessert. Op niets wordt bespaart en niets in hen teveel qua wensen, kinderen wouden eens fruitsap en werd nadien voorzien. Veerle laat haar bakkunsten voluit gaan en dit is te zien in het ontbijt. Wordt met lokale producten gewerkt dus ook leuk als wat van de streek wil proeven. Verse confituren, voor de kleine zoete bekken choco. Assortiment kaas en vlees, heel royaal!! Avondeten: 3x per week laat Veerle de potten pruttelen. Dat ze liefde heeft voor lekker eten is te merken! Robby staat je bij met lokale lekkere wijnen. Uitstappen: of je nu kiest voor een sportieve of meer een rustige vakantie er is voor elk wat wils daar. Fietsen kunnen gehuurd worden en sportieve uitstappen hebben ze zelf uitgestippeld. Wil je meer eens iets zien van de omgeving dat kan ook. Robby & Veerle hebben een paar excursies uitgestippeld waarbij kunst en cultuur aan bod komt. Veerle heeft mooie boekjes gemaakt in zakformaat die gemakkelijk mee te nemen zijn op je tocht door de te bezoeken stad. Op andere dagen dat ze geen diner aanbieden hebben ze een uitgebreide lijst waar ze zelf geweest zijn met persoonlijke meningen en afstanden ook voor elk wat wils. Kortom een zeer mooie vakantie gehad!!
