Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a medieval village in the valley of the Lot river, not far from Rocamadour and Cahors. It is located in the French region Midi-Pyrénées and the area itself is called Quercy. The village sits on top of a steep rock above the Lot. The centre with its narrow and steep streets lined with half-timbered houses is not accessible by car and has always been popular with painters and artists. At the highest point of the village stands a Romanesque church and a ruin. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie has been named by the French "Most Charming Village in France"! The region is moreover a true paradise for "green" tourism and offers a rich range of attractions (medieval castles and bastides, caves, Romanesque churches, typical markets,...), gastronomic delights (Cahors wine, foie gras, truffles,...) and many sporting opportunities (hiking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing on the Lot, fishing, rock climbing,...) 15 minutes' walk from the village, accessible via a path, is our holiday home. It is situated very peacefully on a dead-end street with a garden of 4500 m2, completely enclosed, and adjoining woodland. From the domain and terrace with swimming pool and jacuzzi you have a beautiful view of the valley, and you have all the ingredients for a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Ideally located for people who love good food and tranquility, for hikers and cyclists, for culture lovers and nature lovers. It is here where we lost our hearts. We would therefore like to share this holiday home with people who enjoy these pleasures as much as we do. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 rooms with a double bed of 1.60m and 1 room with 4 x single beds (these can be converted into 2 x double beds), 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower screen, 1 separate toilet, 1 new kitchen with all appliances (oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, Senseo, Dolce Gusto....), separate room with fridge/freezer and pantry, living room with fireplace, large terrace, and veranda (with all windows that can be opened) The garden is completely enclosed. On the terrace is a large table with 8 comfortable terrace chairs. The hot tub that overflows into the swimming pool both offer a beautiful view of the valley.     Hartelijk dank aan Karin en Didier voor de vriendelijke ontvangst op Domaine Lapopie. Met jouw goede en gevarieerde tips zullen we een geweldige tijd doorbrengen in de Lot-vallei. We bezoeken vooral graag markten en gaan wandelen met onze honden. In Saint Cirq Lapopie en omgeving kunt u gemakkelijk door het bos wandelen en langs de Lot wandelen. Tussendoor krijgen we nieuws met tips voor evenementen in de buurt. We krijgen direct antwoord op onze vragen, wat ons enorm helpt. Dat is heel zorgzaam en professioneel. Het huis is heel rustig, heeft een geweldige keuken met een inductiekookplaat, een heerlijke serre, comfortabele bedden in drie gezellige slaapkamers en een uiterst gezellige woonkamer met een grote tafel en een grote en comfortabele bank. De grote en prachtige tuin heeft voldoende zitplaatsen en ligstoelen naast het zwembad. Het uitzicht over het Lottal is ongelooflijk mooi en uniek. We zullen deze vakantie heel positief onthouden. We raden Domaine Lapopie aan als een buitengewoon mooi vakantieoord en vooral Karin en Didier als bijzonder goede gastheren.

    We verbleven in augustus met 2 volwassenen en 2 kids in Domaine Lapopie. Een prachtige ligging boven het dorp met een fantastisch zicht op de omgeving! Grote omheinde tuin met zwembad en bubbelbad was ideaal voor de kinderen. Ook speelgoed en oa trampoline is aanwezig. Zeer vriendelijke uitbater die vlot bereikbaar is en klaarstaat met allerhande tips voor bezienswaardigheden. Het huisje is ruim voor 4 personen. Proper. Een aanrader! Wij hadden een superleuke vakantie!

    Prachtig huisje met heel grote omheinde tuin in rustig doodlopend straatje tussen de bomen boven het prachtige dorp Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Uitzicht vanop het terras en zwembad is magnifiek. Van de eigenaar kregen we voor de reis mooie info en ter plaatse bleek dit een heel sympathieke man te zijn. Echt een aanrader.

    Wij verbleven van 4 tot 18 juni 2022 in Domaine Lapopie. Het huis is rustig gelegen en heeft een geweldig uitzicht op de vallei. Alles wat je maar kan bedenken is aanwezig. Van huisgerei tot alle electrische apparaten. De keuken en badkamer zijn hedendaags ingericht, het overige van het huis vonden we wat gedateerd. Zeker de aanpalende veranda en de kamer met stapelbedden. Het huis was ook niet proper wat eigenlijk niet kan want er wordt 95 euro voor eindschoonmaak aangerekend. Ondanks de minpunten die we wel hadden, hebben we wel genoten van onze vakantie in de prachtige regio en wat ons betreft is Saint Cirq Lapopie het mooiste dorp van Frankrijk.
