Casa Figuera - Algarve Fuseta

Figueira means fig tree and refers to the large fig tree at the back of the garden. Casa Figueira is on the ground floor, the second-to-last house on the corner of a popular holiday apartment resort 100 meters from the lagoon and a fifteen-minute walk to the nearest beach. The resort has two shared swimming pools with beautiful views over the lagoon. The house and the village of Fuseta offer everything for a comfortable holiday for up to 4 people, both in summer and winter. The house is on the ground floor, has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a large, quietly situated back garden. The kitchen is equipped with all conveniences, the mattresses in both bedrooms are from early 2017, all rooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets. You have the use of 2 bicycles. Everything is also within walking distance and thanks to the train station you wouldn't even need to rent a car to take trips along the Algarve coast. Surroundings Casa Figueira is located in Fuseta, in the middle of the protected nature reserve Ria Formosa (lagoons, dunes, small islands and endless beaches). The charming Fuseta is an original fishing village with a canal to the sea. Tourism and fishing now go hand in hand. From the harbor a little ferry sails to the island off the coast: throughout the day in summer, less frequently in the shoulder seasons. There is plenty of space on the kilometer-long golden-yellow beaches and there are two nice beach bars. Fuseta itself has a pleasant little beach with a beach bar. The beach is also very suitable for children. In the village there is a good supermarket and there are plenty of nice restaurants, both in the old town center and along the water and canal. The small market hall next to the fish market is open daily except Sunday for fresh fish, meat and vegetables. Casa Figueira is a 10-minute walk to the center and the beach. There is also a train station; the train takes you to almost all coastal towns: to the Spanish border, to Tavira or Olhão to Lagos in the west of the Algarve. The coastal towns of Tavira and Olhão are 10-15 minutes' drive away. From both towns ferries sail to the beautiful islands off the coast. On the quays of both cities you will find good (fish) restaurants and the historic market halls of Olhão are definitely worth a visit. Particularly charming is the old town center of Tavira with its many restaurants. Layout Via the entrance outside on the ground floor you enter the living room with open kitchen. From the living room you walk through to the bedrooms, first passing a toilet with small bathroom. Bedroom 1: 2 single beds. Bedroom 2: double bed with en-suite bathroom. From each bedroom there is direct access to the terrace with adjoining large garden with fig tree. All rooms have air conditioning that both cools and heats. All rooms have mosquito nets. The house is threshold-free and the en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. Since May 2023, the municipality of Olhão has introduced a tourist tax. This tourist tax must be paid by tourists checking in after 1 May 2024 for their stay in hotels, resorts, local accommodations (AL) and campsites. The tourist tax is added on top of the rental fee already paid. From 1 November to 31 March the tourist tax is € 1 per person per night with a maximum of 7 nights per person per night with a maximum of 7 nights. Children under 13 years are exempt from paying tourist tax.
