The villa is ideally located for those who love the sea, but also appreciate the peace and nature of the mountains. You have complete privacy and comfort here, with no overlooking neighbors or live-in concierge or owner. The spacious finca stands alone on a private estate of 10,000 m². Yet the property is easily accessible. Alicante airport (where you can very easily rent a car) is just half an hour's drive away. There is ample parking in front of the house. The house is surrounded by terraces and a beautiful subtropical garden. Terraces surround the swimming pool, some of which are covered. Next to an outdoor shower there is a bathroom with toilet, directly accessible for those spending time outside. Through an antique door you enter a spacious hall beneath the typical Valencian tower. On the right are 3 bedrooms and a second bathroom with toilet. If you go left, up a few steps, you arrive in the spacious living room. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling double windows it is light and airy. A few steps higher still there is a platform with a dining table that connects to a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. On the highest level you will also find storage space and the fourth bedroom. All windows in the house are fitted with screens to keep out annoying insects and with shutters so you can keep it pleasantly cool inside during the day and for those who like to sleep in the dark.
The house is located in beautiful nature between Jijona (Xixona in Valencian) and Tibi. You reach the house along a winding but perfectly passable road in the green valley of the Monnegre river. In the typical Spanish town of Jijona (5 km) you will find all amenities: department stores, bakery, butcher, bank, post office, restaurant, bar, etc. Jijona is known in Spain for the production of Turron (Spanish nougat). A visit to the Museo del Torro about the history of Turron production in the region is certainly worth a visit. If you enjoy swimming laps in an Olympic pool or if the children want to have fun in a larger children's pool, we can recommend the beautiful public swimming pool. On the way to El Campello you can visit the Cova del Canelobre (caves). In Tibi (6 km) you can experience a typical local market every Saturday morning. Walkers can join marked walking trails at Tibi or Jijona. Or you can plan your own route to the nearby Tibi reservoir which is just over the mountain from our house. It is no coincidence that many professional cycling teams choose Alicante in spring as a base for their winter and spring training. They come not only for the sunny climate but also for the excellent cycling routes in the area with both mountain and flat stages. As a cycling enthusiast you will certainly get your money's worth here.
From the terrace of our house you have a view of the popular seaside resort of El Campello at about 20 kilometers distance. This place is somewhat smaller than nearby Alicante, but thanks to its beautiful beach, pleasant boulevard with shops and restaurants, clean air and Mediterranean cuisine it is very popular with both Spanish and foreign tourists. Enjoy everything the Costa Blanca has to offer!
But the city of Alicante is also definitely worth a visit. You can combine the beach with cozy beach pavilions with a beautiful historic city center, a castle (accessible by lift) and modern shopping streets. Everything within walking distance.
By car you can relive the history of the province of Alicante along the Ruta de los Castillos (castle route). Also inland near Benidorm you will find Guadalest, a popular Spanish mountain village with shops, a castle and an interesting museum.
A bit further but still easily accessible by car you can visit the popular seaside resorts of Benidorm (50 km), Calpe (68 km), Torrevieja (90 km) or Denia (95 km). For those looking for culture or history: Murcia (100 km), Valencia (140 km) or Cartagena (140 km) are still within reach.
